MO' HEAT, OH

Remember when I said in the video tute I was a lightweight?! Well, I am literally fighting sleep writing this (after ONE drink) and couldn’t figure out for the life of me how to spell literally. LI-TER-ALLY.

Hey TEN fam! It’s about that time again. It’s happy hour Friday and I’m switching it up on you like Brutus did Caesar. . . But not in a stabby way tho. We’re just going from Nail The Cocktail to “The Editorial Cocktail”. Why the quick change you ask? The previous title was already taken like a speedy booty call during cuffing season, plus no one likes a copycat and infringement ain’t cute. So The Editorial Cocktail it is.

You’re here for chill vibes , delish homemade cocktail recipes, women supporting women and this week’s Spotify playlist “Mo’ Heat, Oh” with some of my favorite Afro-beat jams.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1/4 Cup of Barbancout Rhum, or more depending on your tolerance. But I’d stick to this formula if I were you. It’s a slow creeper.

  • 4 Wedges of lime

  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons of brown sugar

  • Fresh mint leaves, a little less than a handful

  • Ginger beer

  • Cup of ice

  • Slice of lime for decor

  • Eco Friendly straw

  1. Muddle the lime, mint and sugar to release all the tasty juices for flavor.

  2. Add in the rhum.

  3. Finish off with the ginger beer.

  4. Stir your ingredients with your eco friendly straw, then sip to taste.

Bottoms up and a grand toast to the bad ass women kickin’ down doors throughout quarantine.

Heading to make myself another one. Hope I don’t knock out cold. Can someone please check on me in like an hr? It’s too early for this, but I’m grown and I make grown up decisions.
