KEEP YOUR BLOODY HAND OFF MY MARY

HEY TEN tribe HEYYY!

I hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to create a fun series called The Editorial Cocktail (going live every Friday) as a toast to all the amazing Women Owned Small Businesses I’ve featured the past few days and will be highlighting. Because quite honestly, on any other day we would be at happy hour 5pm on the dot living our best lives and celebrating each other. But since we can’t, I decided to have a Bloody Mary for brunch and celebrate you all with a social distancing vibe. And now I’m low key buzzin’ writing this while jamming to my Spotify Playlist curated for you. Don’t judge meeee!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 Lemon

  • A whole a** Lime

  • 4 oz V8 Low Sodium

  • 2 oz Absolut Vodka, or what ever vodka you have at home

  • Add to your liking, I’m Haitian, I don’t measure: Salt, Pepper, Smoked Paprika

  • Same with the Tabasco Sauce

  • A drop of Caribbean pepper sauce if you have

  • 1 Teaspoon of Honey

  • Tajín

  • Ice

  • Slice of lime for decor

  • Eco Friendly straw

  1. Squeeze you lemon and lime into a glass.

  2. Pour in your V8 and Vodka.

  3. Add the salt, pepper and smoked paprika.

  4. Then a couple dashes of Tabasco depending on your spice tolerance. I love mine SPICYYY!

  5. IF you want an extra kick, you can include some Caribbean pepper sauce. If you live in the hood you know where to get this. If not, sorry to this man *Keke Palmer voice*. Better luck next time. You can skip this step.

  6. Melt in honey with a dash or two of Tabasco, mix in.

  7. Line your empty glass with lime or lemon juice, dip in bowl of tajín.

  8. Add ice and accent your glass with a lime. IF you’re feeling adventurous, go ahead and sprinkle some tajín in that mug!

  9. Please use an eco friendly straw or simply sip from your cup. #SaveTheOccean

Slip slowly, because whew chilé, by the time I reached this sentence, sis finna KO.
